Moscow and Tbilisi street shots Pt.1 by Mikhail Generalov

Today we are glad to present you Mikhail Generalov, a new member of the Malade Nation team as an ambassador and photographer.
.
Malade Nation: Where are you from?
Mikhail: I was born in DDR raised in Ukraine, then my family moved to a Moscow region, where I finished school and then moved to Moscow.
.
Malade Nation: How long have you been shooting? why did you start?
Mikhail: I began shooting in the early 00s to capture lifestyle, activities and graffiti. Since then, I have changed a lot of cameras from sort of simple digital ones to old Soviet analogic ones.
But i seriously and philisophically decided to switch fully to film 3 years ago, when a sudden computer crash destroyed the entire digital archive of my photos which have been collected for more than 10 years.
.
Malade Nation: Do you remember your first camera?
Mikhail: My first snaps were made on my parent's Zenith, the there were experiments with lomo-cameras, now I shoot mostly on Olympus mju II and half-frame Yashica Samurai x3.
.
Malade Nation: What do you try to capture?
Mikhail: I love cityscapes, architecture and industrial areas. I also shoot lots of hanging arounds and parties.
Right now I want to do some portrait photography, but I'll never go away from the streets.
